REGULAR PETS (CATS AND DOGS)

Packaging and Labeling :

• Authorized container according to the "Regulations for live AnimalTransportation" issued by IATA for domestic and international animal transportation and other species.
• For the transportation of CATS, DOGS AND FERRETS older than three-month, to be sent to the European Union or The United States should be:
  • Identified with microchip o tatoo.
  • Vaccinated against rabies.
  • Official certificate or passport (in case of re-introduction).

It is important to find a proper container designed for the size of your pet, so it can move freely in its interior, standing and laying down in its natural position (see figure 1 to 5):

The Mexican Official Standard NOM-051-ZOO-1995 states the minimum measurements for the cage according to the animal type:

BIRDS

Documents required:

• Zoo sanitary certificate (domestic or exportation, if applies).

Packaging and labeling:

• The container must have handles for the correct handling and it must prevent filtrations and spillage.
• Cardboard packaging (see figure) may only be accepted for Domestic Transportation, but you should pay attention to the following items:
• Do not group more than two containers, since the birds placed in the middle lack ventilation.
• The container dimension must be proper for the bird’s size.
• The container must be clean at the reception.
• State complete name, address and telephone number, 24-hour assistance, of shipper, addressee or person responsible for the shipment, if it is a different person than the shipper and or addressee.



• Wooden containers are accepted only if the birds feathers are not exposed.
